Webwasp has it's first competition thanks go to Rabid Lemming who has set up this competition and donated the prize money!!

Some recommendations:

• Make it easy to play and user friendly
• Must be fun and highly addictive
• Impressive graphics and animation
• Quick loading
• Clever use of code
• Add in some hidden surprises

Rules:

1. Deadline: Closing date is: 31 January 05
   
2. You can make any type of game you like.
   
3. The game must be be made using Flash. You can import images or sound files that have been created in other programs.You may also use a limited amount of back-end scripting like php. But only for minor elements of the game (like highest scoreboard). Anything that is reasonably possible to do in Flash should be done in Flash.
   
4. The game MUST!!! be your own work! This will be checked and we will know if you have ripped off someone else's Flash Movie. You maybe asked to explain the how you made it and how the code works and etc...
   
5. You can work in groups but please give any credit to those who helped you as it’s only fair.
   
6. We will be happy to help you via the webwasp Forum but we won’t make it for you!
   
7. The best games will be show-cased on the site. You will of course get credit and if you wish a link to your web site and an email link.
   
8. Flash files must be submitted so that we can look at the code and tell everyone how clever you are!
   
9. We may use some of the best entries to create new webwasp tutorials. By submitting your work you agree to us using your work in this way and webwasp members being able to download the source file/s. Credits will always be given and (if you wish) we will include a link to your website and/or email address.
   
10. Prize Money payment is via Pay Pal. We prefer not to send a cheque due to the cost of International Bank charges. If you do want a cheque all bank changes will be deducted from the prize money.
    
11. Submitting your work: You should email your original Flash file (swf file), any other related files (if any), your name and contact details to:

    

12. When submitting your work please tell us if you wish us to publish your name, website and/or email address. If you do not wish us to publish your name please let us know a nick name or first name that we can publish.
    
13. It is thanks to Rabid Lemming for setting up this competition and donating the prize money. He is the final judge and no correspondence will be entered into.
