Jigsaws in Flash 5

The left Movie Clips has an instance name Male and a library name MaleDrag MC.

The right Movie Clips has an instance name MaleShape and a library name MaleShape MC.

There are no actions attached to either of the Movie Clips on the main stage or in the time line of the main stage.

The MaleDrag Movie Clip has a button nested inside with the above action:

  1. The first action makes the movie clip dragable.
  2. The second action only happens if the movie clip is dropped onto the drop target.
  3. If it is dropped onto the target the movie clip MaleShape will go to frame two and play.
  4. If it is dropped onto the target the movie clip Male will go to frame two and stop.  Male refers to itself.  You can see above that the button does not exist in frame two.  This means that when the Movie Clip is in frame two you cannot drag the object.  There is also nothing visible in frame two.  You can see this from the time line above, there is only an action and a sound in frame two.

The time line has two actions in frame one and two.  They are both the same:  stop ();
The stop action in frame two is not necessary as the drop target action above is go to frame two and stop.

There is also a sound in frame two called maleShape sound.  The name is not important.  It is the location that makes the sound play.

The drop target movie clip called MaleShape is an animation.  In frame one and six there is a stop action.

At the end of the animation the drop target looks like the original dragable movie clip.  The actual dragable object is no longer visible.
