Step Twelve: Easing

Easing is term that refers the speed that an animation moves. It can move at a constant speed (no easing) or accelerate of decelerate. These are called Ease In and Ease Out.

Ease Out - Slows Down

To use the Ease effect:

  1. Create a: Motion Tween (see beginning of this tutorial)
  2. In the Timeline select: Frame 1

  3. Select Frame 1 of a Motion Tween.

  4. If the Timeline is closed, open it: Window > Properties > Properties (Ctrl F3)
  5. Select the: Ease Option

  6. Ease In is negative and Ease Out is positive.

  7. If you wish to customise your Ease press the: Edit Button
  8. Drag the: Graph Line

  9. Drag the Graph line to change the Ease.

  10. Click: OK
  11. Test your Movie by pressing: Enter
