Notes for: Flash 8 Basic, MX04 & MX

In this tutorial you learn to distort your text to give a perspective type effect. You will then add a gradient but you will not be able to add the drop shadow as described in the last section of the tutorial:

The Drop Shadow is not available in earlier versions of Flash.

 

Flash 8 Basic, MX04 & MX: You will be able to create the perspective and gradient effects:

Tip: If you are using Flash 8 Basic, MX04 & MX follow the tutorial but skip the last section on drop Shadows. Instead I suggest that you create a drop shadow by making a copy of the original text, changing the color and placing the copy under the original text:
