Learn how to create an animated ripple effect of movement underwater. It is surprisingly easy to create an animated water ripple over the top of a Jpeg photo. What's more it is very flexible and easy to gain a variety of different types of effects using the same technique. See the examples below:

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403a

Animated fractured wave effect.

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403b

Animated vertical wave effect.

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403c

Wobbly ripple animation.

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403d

Round ripple animation.

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403e

Multiple ripples.

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403f

Multiple effects at once.

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403g

Heat wave animation.

Example: Download the Flash file Ani 403h

Bubble animation.

I will use the bubble (Ani 403h) animation as in the sample above to demonstrate the animation technique in this tutorial. Having said that once you understand how to achieve the effect you will understand how to make slight variations and create the other effects demonstrated or make up your own effects.
