MX and Flash 5
This is a very robust preloader. This is suitable for all versions of Flash from Flash 5 and can be used with either ActionScript 1 or AS 2.
It takes slightly longer to build than the preloaders listed below as it does not use and Flash Components. This means that you have to build everything from scratch. But it is such a small file there is not much to build. If you are unsure as to which preloader to use - select this one as a basic robust preloader.

An animation created in one Movie and then loaded into another with a preloader.
An easy way to load one Flash Movie into another. This loads the external Flash SWF Movie into a Movie Clip with the help of the Progress Bar Component. Loading a Movie into an MC means that you can address the Movie Clip in the ActionScript and change the Movie Clips properties. This MC includes the external swf file so any change that you impose on the Movie Clip also changes the external Movie nested within.
