Keywords are words or phrases that you sprinkle through your document in order to match search terms so that users will find your web pages. Each web page can have different keywords and thus match up to different search terms.

Search Term: Words or phrases used by users in Search Engines to find web pages/sites.

Keywords: Words or phrases sprinkled though a web page for Search Engines to pick up.

Keywords are one of the most important enhancements you can use. The difference between using good keywords and useless keywords is remarkable. With good keywords you should find your pages being listed near the top of Search Engines.

The most obvious keywords or even the words which best describe the page are not necessarily the best! There are two things you need to think about ...
